Our Mission
To prepare incarcerated women with children for reentry into society and facilitate support services for their children. Through spiritual guidance, education support, and life skills training, CLRP fosters family reunification, emotional healing, and societal stability.
Our History
Changed Living was developed and founded by Dr. Alfreida Capers in 1990 as a long term substance abuse residential program for pregnant/postpartum women with children.
We felt this would be a necessary part of the reentry process for persons released from prison in continuing their jailhouse religion.

Dr. Capers combined two programs, Changed Living Recovery Residence, Inc. and Brad’s Place, Inc. to address the needs of children with incarcerated parents and their caregivers; facilitating the encouragement of the incarcerated person to seek reentry programs during their incarceration.
Dr. Capers volunteers with a program called Forgiven, out of NC,
and takes children into the prisons to visit with their parents for 6
hours, on designated Saturdays and beginning with the Fridays prior, we go into the prison and provide parenting and evangelism to the parents.
She is replicating this program with the blessing & approval of the Forgiven Founder to cover more prisons in Georgia.
